We’ve received some great feedback for 8 Bit Rally over the last few weeks.

To start building a community around 8 Bit Rally (and our other games) we’ve created a forum for people & fans of the game to chat away. We’ll try and provide some extra downloads & info about the development of our games via the forums as well.

8 Bit Rally Update

July 23rd, 2011 by Jason

Well, it has been over a month since 8 Bit Rally was released and the response & coverage has been just awesome.

The amount of people who recognize the inspiration for 8 Bit Rally has been quite suprising. While the game was a throw back to the old school racers of the 90s, like Outrun, Hard Drivin, Lotus challenge, etc. It was Top Gear for SNES, that provided the most inspiration. It was released almost 20 years ago, and clearly much more popular & well know than i had realised.

The coolest review we’ve had for 8 Bit Rally so far was a mention on Attack of the Show. Havn’t been able to find a video online of the review, but apparently it was really positive.

8 Bit Rally Released

Earlier this week 8 Bit Rally was released! We posted info about it on the TouchArcade forums and the response was really positive. Got some great ideas & feedback for the game and we’re actively working on the first update which should add universal support so it works natively on iPad, and on-screen touch controls for steering if tilt-to-steer isn’t your thing.

We’re very excited about the iPad support feature (supporting HD resolution) because that will also allow us to release the game on the Mac App Store and other Mac/PC based stores which was the plan all along.

Stay tuned for more details

Announcing 8 bit Rally!

May 26th, 2011 by Jason

8 bit Rally

After quite a long development process we’re finally announcing our new game: 8 bit Rally. We put a fair bit more effort into this project over the previous games. It has multiple cars, upgrades, different paint jobs, a ton of tracks, and a bunch of other stuff. We contracted a talented musician to make an original soundtrack for this game, and we even made some proper promotional graphics (as seen above).

We’ll be submitting the app very shortly. Initially we’re supporting iPhone & iPod Touch. The first update should have native support for iPad, and down the track we want to release the game on the Mac OSX app store. Even further down the track is selling the game for PC on here and even possibly steam (we can dream).

Game Complete!

May 10th, 2011 by Jason

It took a while, but development of our 4th game has pretty much been completed. The last item on the TODO list was ticked off and we’re pretty happy about how the game has turned out.

As for the details, you’ll have to wait a tiny bit longer while we work on some of the promo stuff (videos, screenshots). Once we get a page up for the new game, we’ll announce the game properly.

We’ve also got a twitter account setup @PhotonCreations so follow us there for the latest info

We’re Back

March 5th, 2011 by admin

We’re back.

So… we had some issues with our host & the site was down for a couple weeks. Unfortunately the old blog posts & Super Photon Racing time-trial times are gone. So, we’re starting again with a clean slate.

We’re still actively developing games. Our 4th game is in development still and coming very close to a release. We’ve expanded the Photon Creations team & enlisted the help of Poisoncut. A very talented guy who has been making some awesome 8bit based music tracks. That alone probably gives away what style our 4th game is; a retro 8 bit style game. An 8 bit racing game to be more precise.

At the moment we’re still setting everything back up here. But very soon we’ll start posting more info about our next game. In the mean time check out Poisoncut’s page on 8 Bit Collective and check out some of his work:
