Hey all,
I kinda wanted to write a little about us and what we do etc just in case anyone was interested. It probably comes across as
something like a proper company when we have a name and logo etc like we do but in reality we’re just two guys who are
making our games in our spare time. My good friend Jason is able to get time off his day job to work on our games a little
more dedicatedly but still its his own time that hes putting in. I think he does a pretty darn good job of it too. Myself, well I
occasionally get the chance to take a day off here and there but they are few and far between. Now dont get me wrong please.
I’m not trying to pull the heart strings and get people to buy our games etc. Actually we’d just rather talk to the people who
are playing our games and see what they do like and dont like about em. We’re not perfect and we know it.
So Jason is our programmer and hes a darn good one. He’s kinda got that knack to be able to program just about anything that
needs it. So every thing from the menu’s to the physics behind the cars has got his fingerprints all over it. Hes worked on a few
different projects out there and you may know him from such projects as Street Rod 3 (never really got there in the end) and
LeiroX which developed its own little community and is still going i think. Wow i sound like Troy McCluer.
Im our resident artist and I’ve sort of fallen into this role a while ago since we first started to make games like 10 years ago.
I knew I’d never make it as a programmer and Ive been noodling with drawings for ages. Only now are my skills sort of
coming together in order to produce the graphics that you see for our games. Massive culmination of different mediums,
3d studio, Photoshop, Fireworks, drawing etc etc.
Our process is kinda strange as well. Often Jason will come up with a prototype game and we’ll tweak that until we’re happy
with it. But its often that initial spark that’ll inspire us to go further with the game than we thought we would. SPR is a good
example of that. It kinda blew out time wise towards the end. So generally once we’re happy with that I’ll start creating a
visual treatment for it. Generally towards the end we tend to look at what we have and then start working on the UI and
finally we get around to adding in the sound which neither of us particularly like doing.
So yeah… thats a little bit about us. If anyone is interested in seeing some process shots of how I go about creating my
tracks or graphics etc, drop me a line or something and I’ll post some stuff.
So enjoy what your doing and have fun with our games!
